| There are
several methods of sending us your RFQ package. Before sending please be
sure to check your data to be sure that all of the important information
is present. This will vary depending on the type of assembly and build
type (turn-key or kitted, hand-built or machine), but in general it will
include the following: 1. Gerber
files for printed circuit boards (and ASCII or IPC-D-356 files if
available).
2. Fabrication drawing for printed circuit boards.
3. Manufacturing assembly drawings.
4. Bill of Materials (BOM) in Excel spreadsheet format.
More complex or special assemblies may require additional information
such as:
6. Mechanical assembly drawings.
7. Work Instructions.
8. Regulatory requirements.
9. Test documentation.
Also include your requirements for the
build such as quantity, delivery dates, build type, and any other
pertinent information. For detailed information on the documentation
required for manufacturing see our Getting
Familiar with Manufacturing tutorial.
